If i loss my ray I'm gonna be like this :swear: :swear: :swear: . Sorry for the loss. We feel your pain. So what's the water parameters?

do you use RO water with rays? I have heard of this problem with a ray kept in tap water, when changed to RO it got better in a matter of hours. You are the only other person I have heard of who had this problem.

So here is the update... I went home on Friday and checked my water parameters ... PH 6.7 Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrate 5 ppm Nitrite 0 .... I did a 30% water change that night and checked the parameters again on Saturday and the nitrates dropped to 0 ... Is it possible that a slight spike in the Nitrate level killed the ray? To answer one of the other questions, no there were not any plastic plants in the aquarium ... Thanks for the all of the feedback.

I've heard of them getting the protruding anus before.....mine have had that condition too. It usaually goes away, however if a fish bites it, I think that could kill the ray......Just a thought.....
