He only does it when teased with a finger. Most visitors like to point which is fine as long as its not in direct contact with the tank and over an extended period of time. I dont like wiping off finger prints either and ask my guests not to touch the tank, just for those reasons. It seems my sister had a small get together and who ever was here thought it was funny to torment my fish, because the scratches are so deep he must have been mad as hell. and it doesnt matter if their

"not that bad"(in some peoples opinion), i dont like looking at them when i spent 2 weeks sanding/polishing not to have them and my prize fish was prolly stressed as hell.

I can feel your pain regarding the scratches, nothing worst than find scratches on your tank when it could have been easily avoided... either way, hopefully they'll come out easy enough for you...
