Cryptoheros cutteri "Rio Jutiapa"

Cutteri are really handsome fish. My male looks a little washed out in this shot because the aquarium lighting is a little too bright. I have him in a planted tank and when the plants grow up and throw more shade his colors will deepen again.
I also got my specimens as Rio Jutiapa strain. I had trouble trying to breed mine too. I had this guy in a pair and they tried a ouple of times, but then he became aggressive toward the female, so I had to split them up.

I also got F1 from Ken Davis (fishfarm)... about 2 years ago.
They're great fish and glad to see that folks are keeping them!
My big male spawns with his wife and also a couple of his daughters. Occasionally smaller males pair off and spawn but there's always action...
