I have two breeding pairs and more fry than I know what to do with! Great smaller size CA cichlid that can be kept in a smaller sized tank. One of my favorites! Amazing transformation while breeding.

I am trying to get my monster male sajica and his little lady to spawn...any tips??

Easier than most CA cichlids! Feed her good with pellets and frozen blood worms. She will quickly come into condition if she's mature. Water changes, when you refill the tank make the water slightly cooler (a few degrees) than the water you removed. Then turn up the heater to around 82 and let the water temp rise slowly. That will get them going!
They are very protective while spawning, great parents!
Lol, nope, same camera! It's been three years since I've picked it up and I forgot everything! Need a few sessions to try different settings and sharpen my skills!
I will take some more pics this weekend and see if I can get the quality up a bit.
