A large male I once had



This is the same male and a female with fry. You can see the damage the male endured protecting his fry. Although he kept getting damaged he was a absolute brute and would fight everything in the tank.

Males and females are quite similar. Males will be larger than the female naturally and males will develop a nochul hump. In the right environment, both male and female will be equally attractive. This is a picture of a male I had when I kept a species only tank of sajica. Very beautiful! And full of character

You gotta order those. Like most things of exceptional quality, your LFS won't just have 4-5 laying around. Sajica's will have to be ordered. Get 5-10 of em, watch em spawn.

Awesome fish. I had 2, male and female, but they never paired up. Mine had blue eyes.

I got 3 juveniles after 3 months of searching. Finally one shop found them and ordered.
