Ehiem compact 5000+ pump
(2) 300 Watt ehiem heaters
(2) Aquaillumination hydra 52
(2) Zhongle air stones
(1) AP-8 air pump
-the air stones are there temperarily, I will place them towards the back of the fish tank. I have them there to get all the small particles to flow into the filters.

Yes...more time needed. Was wondering if there is an opening where you can slip a sponge block for a snug fit in this area of your sump. I have it in all my sumps...good way to catch particles and retain beneficial bacteria.

Yes, it’s a very small opening but I can definitely squeeze a sponge in there. THAT WAS A GREAT IDEA THANK YOU!!!!

Also my two ehiem 300 watts don’t seem to warm up my tank. I have them inside the two overflow boxes. Should I add a third? I thought two would be more than sufficient.

Another question..... what power head should I invest in? Wavemaker or circulation pump?

Hmmm...I would imagine two 300 watt heaters would be sufficient. Defective perhaps? Aquarium lid?

Wavemaker and circulation pump work the same. I did away with them by using a strong return pump.

Yes I have glass lids. I think I have to re-calibrate them. Does the type of sponge matter in gap Eto’o recommended I covered? Coarse or fine sponge?

The heaters in the overflow box are they completely submerged ? Two 300 watt Eheim’s should have the tank good unless there not submerged and cracked

Yes they are fully submerged in the two overflow boxes. I wish I could put them inside the sump system but they don’t fit due their length.

For a person with average eyesight, visible particles are at least 40 microns. so filter socks or sponge pads that are 100-200 microns will have a dramatic effect. There's an obvious trade off between size and clogging time.

Hazy, cloudy water composed of materials that can't be visibly identified is probably much smaller than 40 microns, but could be dust that will settle or be captured over time. (Bacterial blooms or algae blooms could cause cloudiness, but that's a different matter altogether.)
