Crystal red shrimp ?

Can I keep them in a tank with a penguin biowheel filter ? Or do I have to use a sponge filter ?

Just put a sponge cover over the filter intake to prevent the babies getting sucked in...

i don't trust the intake not to swallow smaller shrimp/babies, so in my breeder tank, i cut up a filter sock and fixed it around the intake. it's really easy to clean because it slides off. perhaps not all shrimp would be sucked up by the filter, but if you want the best chances possible for raising shrimp then they'd appreciate a filter-cover of sorts~

Aloha! Where in Hawaii are you from? I can't seem to find the CRS anywhere! a hang on filter is fine however, a sponge filter is recommended for actual breeding of the shrimp. Anyways, if can, hook me up with some Red Cherries too? lol
