Okay I ordered My Cuban (male 3in female almost 4in) Pair from Dan At COA About a month or more ago and with no luck tryed everything from changing the Decor in the tank to changing the lighting and adding chase fish and nothing to boot for it my bigger female keeps going after my male like she wants to kill him and for this he has lost some color for now i am gonna set up a 29 gallon on monday and through him in there and i am gonna sell him. If anyone wants him i will sell him to ya but you have to pay shipping and the cost is $15 for him. I will not have a guarantee on the cuban when i ship it tho so if you want him send me a PM.

Sorry the cubans are not getting along believe me I know how that feels. I have had my fensetratus a week and they spawned. The cubans are just taking their time I guess lol. I have always believed that CA females were more aggressive than males which is why the males are usually bigger in a pair. A would look for a larger male if you can.

i always have better luck breeding fish when u throw others in there so go buy some lil convicts and small fish

Don't throw in the towel so soon. Why not keep the male in another tank and give him time to bulk up before introducing him to the female again with a divider? It could work. But as mentioned above, if you do get another male, get one that is larger than the female. I would still introduce them with a divider, especially if you will not be around to closely monitor their first hours and days together.
