I dont remember where i bought the sand from, it was cheap though 10 dollars for 100lbs.

as for the cuban and festae being paired up, its starting to seem that way although I kind of hope they dont, my tank is so peaceful as it is, dont want any breeding going on.

and I'm not sure how long it took for the cuban to get this large, I found it at this size at a LFS and had to have it, I measured it before adding to the tank at slightly over 12"

GREAT Looking Festa mine is just like that around 7inch and she is a badazz fish when she gets her tudz she gets all bright red/yellow with the black stripes it looks so nice, hands down one of the nices fish some one can own

WOW thats a set up! This is one of the tanks I woud like to see in person, nice, thinkin of getting a cuban around 2 1/2" but I heard they grow real slow?

nice fish i want a festae the lfs around here has a few 2 inches maybe,be i heard they are extremely aggressive(not sure how true that is i see them in alot of members tanks with other fish)btw nice driftwood too
