coming along great! excellent photos as well! how big is the tank again (may be earlier in the thread, but i can't review it at the moment - and wasn't sure if it has been upgraded since)?

i'm curious as to whether the temp fluctuations actually help with growth as there would be some natural temp fluctuations with night/day in the wild. also unsure as to whether they would be appreciable differences or not. needmorespaceforgarexperiments!!!--

thanks!! tank is standard 15gal, 2'x1'x1'. not upgraded, am having trouble with getting an appropriate step up tank between this (15gal) and its final home (360gal).

hahaha send some $$ over & i'll do some experiments with the t-gars for you:P

cool thanks for the info - was just curious what the setup was, and i ended up looking it up in the earlier portion of the thread later anyway. i'm sure the gar will be fine growing out in that tank for a while longer anyway. i have them 3 fish to a 20g long, they tear through food pretty fast and produce a lot of waste, so water changes have had to be adjusted accordingly.

as for the experiments...hahaha...yeah, there is just tons of $$ floating around for gar research...that's why it's been so "easy"...the majority has been funded out of my own pockets and has been dependent on volunteer efforts (Richard was in the field with me on his days off) and lucky breaks!--
