George can get cubans .. he had a couple that has been sitting in his store for year. Exactly the reason why he would not get any more. Theyre pretty pricey too.

The huge size is a problem but Cubans and Gator gars have always been my favourite. To be honest I think they both look much cooler than a tropical. I'd rather have a longnose or a shortnose than a tropical gar.

Thats the impression that i have about most gars and thats why i was never
really a big fan of them. I recently got a 12 spotted from Eric and this guy never even
goes to the bottom.. it zips back and forth all day long.
I do agree that cubans have that cleaner look than spotted. I wouldve gotten one from george , but i sat on it for too long. When i was ready to buy, there were none available.

yeah the Cubans george was selling was pretty big too, hence expensive. if they were smaller and hence cheaper, more people might be inclined to buy them. He was actually able to get in Cubans before Tropicals. there was a LOT of hassle to try to bring in Tropicals, and he only imported them once last year and most likely won't get them again, especially if they are still not completely sold after over a year.
