they've recovered from being dark-thank god- but today the more sensitive of the two went very pale, after feeding(shrimp is the only thing i'm feeding for now). not as pale as in the pics but you get the idea. i added an aerator, testing water now.

ammonia and nitrites are 0. havent got the low pH tester but i am using crushed coral substrate. their eyes are no longer cloudy.

comparing bw the 2 gars. "sick" one is on the right

I'm not really seeing anything aside from them being a bit over stuffed.. Really you do not have to feed them until they are chunky to the gills.... Just a good belly bulge is all that is needed.

Otherwise stop overfeeding them.....

great thanks. this was taken immedately after a feeding, i only feed twice at most thrice a week. they're usually quite skinny.

Still get a pH kit and use it often..... Avoid fluctuations...
And feed them pellets, cut fish and whole fish as well as the shrimp.
Don't just feed them shrimp...
