I use shish kabob skewers. There about 18 inches long and made out of stainless steel.

I used to use silverwear but I like this much better, no sharp edges and you use the silver wear long enough it rusts from being left in there over night. Plus it's easier for my pleco to eat using this, now if I can only figure out something for the spinach.

I use a stone which I bought at a tackle and bait shop.
I used it for carpfishing, and it has a tiny ring at one end.
I put a piece of plastified wire through the Zuchinni and attach it to the ring.
Works fine, looks natural.

I got a 2inch long stainless steel lag bolt and tied a piece of fishing string to it long enough for it to touch bottom and then taped the other end to the top of the tank. With the string I can just pull up the bolt and remove the left overs and not have to put my hand into the tank.

Thread a ziptie thought the cucumber, find a rock, drill a hole through the rock, thread ziptie through rock and done. If you dont want to use a rock, use pvc, broken plant pots, drift wood, anything.

Every so often on aquabid a guy has these fired pottery spikes he put in his vegetables on for sale but I'll try to find out the web site for you.
