i have a nice growout setup in my 75gal with 1 tiger oscar 1 firemouth and just added 2 green sevs (what they were labeled as at lfs i think they are rotkeils) and 2 red devils. now the firemouth is being overly aggressive towards everyone with the new addition but before that he was fine. should i just wait it out or should i move him for a little while? he was the same way when i added the oscar. and yes i know all these fish cant stay in the 75 for life its a growout. it will probly end up being just the oscar and some dithers in that tank so dont tell me im overstocked i know i am they are being moved to other tanks soon but for now its a growout tank like i said.

It might help if you rearrange your decor to break up any existing boundries. I'd be more concerned when your 2 red devils get their taste for bloodlust.

as long as there is no major damage or prolonged harrassment I would just wait it out since it is a temporary setup

I agree, you should take all the fish out, and rearrange the tank so there's no preexisting territories.

I have a 3" FM and he beats on a full sized female Con, a 3" regular JD, and tussles evenly with a 4" Salvini. He get's out of my 6" Oscar's way. I've tried rearranging the tank and lowering the temp to 75F to no avail. He's just a little bastard who thinks he's a Red Devil. :D

well there is no damage being done at all he doesnt even fin nip.. the red devils are about 3.5" and the FM is like 3" and the sevs are 3 and 3.5 and the fm doesnt do any damage just gill flairing and lots of chasing going on.. i think i can wait it out i just wasnt sure if the stress of being chased all the time would bother my new sevs as i have never kept them.. i know the devils will be ok and end up prolly killing the fm if i dont keep everything in check i just dont want the sevs to have any problems they are probly my fav fish in the tank looks wise and the oscar has the best personality so far but the sevs are settling in and getting a bit of a personality too..
