I tried posting this message earlier but it didn't. Either that or I couldn't find it.
I was just wondering. There's this beach that's legal to collect live Rock from and it's about a 15 minute drive. A Lot of the sites and books explain the curing process after shipping. shipping, as in wrapped in damp paper towel, packed in box, and flown to destination. I was thInking not much Biological life would die since the drive is so close so would I still have to cure it or can I just throw it in the tank? Input would be awesome.

so long as you dont mind hitch hikers rock on throw in be interesting to see what ya pick up as hitch hiker

you should be good to go. just make sure it is legal. it will be cool to choose exactly what shapes of rock you want. but you probably will get some hitchhikers. if you keep it in a bucket full of seawater, and make a cave at the bottom from some normal rock, place some food in there, any mobile nasties will end up there...

definitely qt the rock for a few weeks so you can check for predators and such and make sure its 100% legal to get.
