Curing live rock, none needed

Use with caution--any time in the air will cause some die off. I wouldn't add a lot at one time into an established system. Also, there are some worms you really want to inspect for (do a search for fire worms & euncid worms)--they eat fish!

Nice looking out.

Well guys. My anxiousness got a hold of me yet again. I recently grabbed my rock from the ocean and threw it in, no curing. It's been about 2 days and I see that there is a white substance growing on a section of one of the rocks. It looks like spider web. It could be die off from me handling it. Or maybe the little worms lay a type of film. Idk. I'll post some pics in a sec. Maybe you guys can figure this one out.

here... see the two white patches in this pic... it sorta looks lke a spiderweb...

anyone know what it could be..

Possibly sponge?

I was looking for a possible answer online and some of the other forums (aquacentral, 3reefforum,etc.) and they said it could be either die off or a type of marine silk worm causing the growths. They mentioned that the mold is growing to fast to be a sponGe. I'm beat, more research for me.
