curious.....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think that bubble is the reason they get drop eye. that is where the fat deposit builds up that causes it. My last silver had drop eye in one eye and that bubble would get bigger and small all the time and make the drop eye appear better and worse. funny thing and it might be a fluke but it would always be worse right before I did a waterchange.. I don't know if that helps but it's all I got.. aro looks great though DeL.

whats a fluke??

ive tried adding melafix and pimafix in the past

and even salt

didnt work at all

i guess tis nothing

I would try puttin some ping pong ball in there stuff that moves around to keep attention on the top of the water... I have no experience but i hear this can help postpone or even prevent Drop eye..

Or even better yet, build a pond outside under a low branced tree :) WILD!!

Operate??

If shes fine I would just leave it though...

Mine was like that but much worse. I doubt that it is caused by fat-build up. With my aro letting me touch it, I know how it feels when I press against it. It felt more like a build up of fluid inside, which is affected by the water chemistry, temperature, and the kind of food it ate. With mine, depending on the changes of aforementioned factors, the swelling fluctuated day by day.

BTW, the big silver at Chicago Shedd aquarium has eyes with very similar condition.
