I would be careful with wc in such a case. If the water parameters are good i would avoid any stress. And a ac is stress. Rays like most elasmobranchians have problems to adapt to changing osmotic parameters in a fast time. As far as i know the curls are a sign for coming death. So far i know no animals which survived that.
