Go with a good powerstrip first. Then find and can the faulty equipment. I would check heater first then light fixture then filters power heads and whatever else is electric on your setup. I would eradicate the promblem sooner than later.

Just wanted to add, current has been linked with some long term health issues, but I haven't seen any conclusive studies. Some people put a grounding probe in every tank.

seems like that would really increase the electric bill.
And already have a heavy load from my hobby.
