I have had a Tanzanian Tigerfish for 2.5 years, looking to move on from him just don't know what the current market value is on them. It is approximately 8".

Are you sure you've had it for 2.5 years? It should be a lot bigger than 8".... IMO.
Yes I am sure. It was not always the alpha of the aquarium and did not eat as well as it does now.
Im currently looking for 2-3 small ones, where did you get him from. Just out of curiosity what was he housed with?
No defects, as you can see if it did the spine would have deformities typically. The fish did not eat well for the 1st year of its like as it was far down on the dominance ladder. Has really only been the dominant fish for around 1 year, in the past year it has doubled in size.
Don't want to derail the thread but. I picked up my Tanz, off a guy who said he was keeping him in a 90 for a year and he was only 5 inches so pretty stunted in my opinion. Ive had him about a year now and hes sitting nice and healthy (Minus some scar tissue) at 10". These fish are remarkably resilient.
