1 out of my 4 has died...knew it was coming though as his tail looked "cooked" . The other 3 are still kicking ***. They have completely wiped out all the neons. On sale I was getting these guys at 5 for $5...they have eaten over 30 in 2 days. I can just imagine what it would be like to feed a few hundred of these guys.

yes it is getting pretty expensive to feed these guys even when you buy in bulk.

geez i also think it would be awsome to have a armatus but what are all you people going to do if you end up with one of these monsters that neeed a mondo-huge tank lol? Hey rick you think you could keep a pac man cat with a gulper cat?

the pacman can gulp and expand their tummy very wide but has no lower jaw like the gulper has. the mouth of the pacman does not show any teeth nor can it open wide. i would not try putting any gulper with any pacman in my opinion you will end up killing th pacman catfish. the gulper can be kept with its own kind or any wide fish like flowerhorn and a like but they are mean as well.

The 3 I have are in a grow out 55g. When they get bigger ( which won't be long if they keep eating like they are) they will be moved to the bigger tanks I have set up.

Look in the picture lounge area...there is a thread with pictures of a gulper cat that ate an african arowana that was a lot bigger than he was...a lot bigger

If you want to make me pick a certain Hydrolycus fish in the tank please inform me. I will have a separate price for it.

I will sell the fish (Hydrolycus) at a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) basis for the people who would need it shipped and won't have the opportunity to come over and pick themselves.

Each buyer will have several pictures of the specific fish and the same fish will be moved on an individual tank to be shipped to the possible buyer.

Just make sure there's always feeder in the tank. Otherwise, you'll find half Payara, or Payara without tail, or Payara with head was all jacked up
