Will be moving two Uaru sp. "orange" from Ryan and 5 Heros notatus from Wetspotcx, and a female H. rotkiel into the tank in the near future. Now you know why I think the tank is overstocked :D

Current tankmates:

A beeding pair of H. psittacus. They are the dominant fish in the tank, but don't bother anybody. They just cruise along and everybody gets out of the way :)

12" Male - my favorite fish. Very confident...like a puppy dog and eats from my hand.

10" female. Not in this picture but her belly/breast turns red when she's happy.

A breeding pair of red and gold H. efasciatus. I know some of you don't care too much about these color morphs, but they add a lot of color to the tank. They are around 7-8". Will try to save some fry next time just to see what they look like.

A male H. rotkiel 6-7". He's been waiting for a mate for months. Well, the wait is finally over...received a wild female from Jeff chilling at Sean's. I wonder how he will react :D

And the cleaning crew - a 5" Fei Feng. It's the fastest growing fish I've ever owned...probably tripled in size in two months. Nick named "cluster bomber", and the last picture shows why :D

It just eats a lot. I mean a lot! Everything and anything I throw in the tank.... got two smaller ones from Grey in another tank - hope they'll fatten up soon too :)

Well I don't know if the eartheaters are more susceptible to HITH....I'd be more worried about the psittacus and Uaru. So far so good but weekly 50% WC is a PITA for this tank...

i was just thinking, when are you gonna add a pike to the list? :D

LOL still reading up on them pikes :D The tank will be warm year round so Uruguay pikes might not do too well. Thinking about "Atabapo I"....are those the bright red ones? And are they going to eat my other fish?
