.... ive discussed it with a few members over pm and we came to the conclusion that it was probably damaged from capture.. then being stressed so much it just wasnt able to survive.. i barley had him... it couldnt of been me.. all other fish are fineYour first pike and your giving up already? Hmmm....your missin out man. All I can say is get back up, and try again. Like Keith said, pikes are hardy...
It's not your fault. Having had him for such a short time and doing all you could in spite of the damage upon capture/handling; it seams to me that you are a very responsible and thoughtful keeper of the fish. Don't give up so soon on the pike. Your next pike could very well be the greatest most rewarding fish you'll ever have the pleasure of keeping. Chin up!
