Hi folks,
This hobby has been everything to me since my mother's passing 5 years ago. It's helped me to get over her loss and to remind me repeatedly of the circle of life that we can all witness in a very well mentained tank. It's been my pride and joy for the past 5 years, and I've loved every minute of it... But life goes on. Due to other professional pursuits, I will need to hand the keys of this hobby off to you incredible MonsterFishKeepers members! And if you know of anyone serious enough and skilled enough to make good use of this baby, please pass on this message:
I'm selling the whole thing: the tank is 8 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 2 feet deep. The tank is a solid 5/8" thick ALL OVER, and has 3 wide openings with carbon fiber lids. It has 2 centrally located overflows with 4 adjustable returns mounted to each of the overflows.
There is an aerator tube connection through the bottom of the tank, with a Rena Air 4 to power the bendable bubble wand.
Underneath is a custom-made 150 gallon sump with 2 separate 1000 gph water pumps to power the returns. The return reservoir is in the middle of the sump, with the bio-ball chambers located directly beneath the overflows.
The naked pine cabinet stand stands 30" from the floor.
The system is lit using 2 separate 48" power compact lights, which include a pair of blue actinic lights. The setup comes with extra Rio water pumps and tubing to do large scale water changes very quickly, and 75' worth of Python water changing system.
I have all the nets you'll need, about a quart of Seachem Prime for your water changes.
There is a male Umbee is 12" long and beautiful.
The cost for EVERYTHING listed, except the fish, is $2000. The tank alone cost me over $5K, so please take dvantage of this opportunity!
I am in the unfortunate position of being in the middle of my 3rd move (yes, you read that correctly) since
October. Your best bet would be to come see it in person to really understand the value! The setup is in Culver City, near the 10 & 405 freeways in Culver City.
Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks to everyone for your time.
Peace!
