So I'm finally setting getting ready to set-up my 75 gal (which I got off C-list). It came with a metal stand, a Magnum 350, and a leak; all for 50 smacks. I also picked-up an Amiracle wet/dry with a Rio 2100 pump for $70.

I did a complete tear down and rebuild (seen here - http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=276597 )

Its now sitting in the garage pending the results of a long-term leak test. I've got most of my filtration worked out (I think) but wanna get some input on if its gonna be enough, etc...

So here's the tank, sitting in the garage-

And here's where its going, next to the kitchen bar, should come out to the same height :headbang2

Its gonna have the Magnum 350 (mech) and the Amiracle (bio) running on it-

I haven't nailed down the stocking, but I'm thinking of either a grow out of Red belly Pirana's, a mix of EBJD and H. carpintis Esc. or Dats and this guy is defly going in-

Will I be getting enough turnover?

Just read your other thread..you did a lot of work on that. Looks nice.

Thanks! Its been a lot of fun (mostly) and a lot of learning... Now I can't wait to get it settled, cycled, and stocked!

Any wizards out there know what kind of turnover I'm looking at and what I should shoot for?

Cant say on the turnover but I think you have enough filtration on that thing. Never used the things you have but I would assume it would be more than enough. Guess valentines day is making this place real slow today..

Lol, yeah it was a little slow... I'm guessing I'm good on filtration too, the sump looks like it has at least 10 gals of bio balls in it. Just wanted to get some input...

NICE. i think the filtration is fine but you might want to put some filter floss on the drip tray. if all the junk gets to the bio balls they will clog and not take away nitrates but makes ammonia and nitrates.

Thanks man! Yeah the drip tray will definitely have some floss.

I went down to Lowes and had some glass cut for covers. I left about 6" open on one end for the overflow/misc filter attachments. Do you all think I'll get enough gas exchange?

Sounds cool...I dont really like P's but its up to you. If its by the counter than I would do something with lots of fish that are active and colorful but not too small, like rift lakes:headbang2but it's really up to you its not my tank :) my dad wont let have a tank bigger than 30g in my room and he only likes SW so no big tanks for me:irked:
