Acrylic is alot more $$ than glass, but you also have to deal with a 90gal tank instead of being around 140lbs its about doulbe that. My tank quoted on glass cages ( 8x2.5x2.5 ) Is about 1,800$ glass ( keep in mind acrylic is more money ) and ours was hella lot cheaper. I wish you the best of luck in your family business and hope you and I both Make alot of mfkers happy
Best of luck

Just curious....
4 foot wide, 30 inches.... for a SHARK??? Most sharks exceed the length of the 12 foot tank you want... Are you talking about one of the "small" sharks?
Well, there is some interest then....but of course the big consern seems to be of course pricing. I'll have to check against glass cages, but I think I'll be able to beat their pricing by quite abit. It's all in the planning and heavy thought stage right now, but I wanted to test the waters as it were. Thanks for eveyone that has responded. I appreciate the input and will keep everyone abreast of how things go, not to mention pics of when my personal tank is finished.
Alright, so I went and looked at Glass cages stuff.....and for the tank I'm building for myself, or as close to it as they have anyway, they're asking $575.00. Not a bad price compared to what you'd see in a LFS right? Yeah, well The one I'm building is five inches taller....and is costing me a whoooooole lot less. See, my cousins own a glass company. I'm getting whatever I need at 2% over cost. Sooo......I think this might just be doable after all. Because lets face it....we all want a big @$$ tank.
you have competition if u wanna make business. milkman started doin the same and he says to offer the lowest price possible at unbeatable shipping prices as well. but i may be lookin for a new tank. maybe something along the lines of 8x48x30tall
