I will have to say it was a good idea though, honestly
but there are 2 small drawbacks to what you got here
First, the light lifetime is only 15,000 hours, which sounds like alot but my leds have 100,000 hours.
second the light they put off is UV for one and far to bright, according to everything I read about moonlights. but hey, I'm not a professional.

12V makes them far to bright, for a moonlight application. I do all the proper modification to them, I do all the work on them, just like a company would.

An how does a blue light put off UV Light? Ive had these running on all my tanks for over two years, if they were putting off UV light my tanks would be constantly trying to cycle. An as for LEDs yes there another option for Moonlighting, however LEDs are more complicated to wire an can easily be ruined if wired wrong.

You dont want them an thats fine, Im not forcing anyone to buy them, its there choice. Ive already had more than one person thats happy with them, an hopefully more.

An to be honest, im not doing this to make a fortune, (Im only making around 5.00 per set after buying all the the stuff, assembling them, an shipping them for free.
Ive had other commercial moonlights on my tanks an frankly they did a Crappy job.
