So peathenster, when are you purchasing my plane ticket so I can come and live with you and get some access to all these lovely South Americans that we don't have here in Australia?

Very nice, deff a stud. As you know pete I also own sterigosi, and this one looks nothing like it. Aside from the mid lateral spot, his head shape also looks different. Gl with the id.. no matter what it is, I like!

The Rio Caroni are now described, G. stergiosi. But peathenster has had the Caroni before ...

And the Caroni should be showing a midlateral spot below the lateral line.

Might have to see him in stress coloration to see the size/location of the spot or a bar.

I agree entirely. If you see them in person you'll feel that they are definitely two different species.
