Are they really slow grower? I noticed two that are starting bulk up. they are more aggressive and growing faster then the others.

If they are slow growers mines have not gotten the memo. They have to be the fastest thing ive seen go from fingernail size to silver dillar size in what two months?

Just about every stream in Central America has a cutteri/splilurum-complex fish...as well as a "convict".... and each is slightly different.

Rio Jutiapa and Rio Monga are in the hobby because Ken Davis and some other folks happened to collect them and were able to successfully bring them back. There are a million other "different" ones down there...

The gold spilurum from Rio Blanco and the Chetamulensis are also similar fish floating around the hobby (I've currently got the latter but have kept and bred both).

Anyway, I keep and breed the Rio Jutiapa cutteri (redder)...and am growing out some Rio Monga (yellower) and need to give them some space to breed (they're about ready).

I've also keep and breed about 10 kids of wild-type cons and other Cryptoheros :)

Thats awesome matt. Hopefully you will help bring these under appreciated fish back into the hobby. I for one will wait eagerly to see some of your fish for sale :)
