I think it's a bad idea. When I tried to cut my acrylic tank in half, I cracked an entire panel from top to bottom. Now I use the tank for scrap acrylic. Also, I think you'll likely damage the seams due to the vibration. It's nothing like cutting or routing a single sheet of acrylic.
Practice on some scrap pieces first, Make some corners if you have too. Tape both sides with green or Blue painters Tape and never try to Force the blade keep just enough forward pressure to keep it in contact with the acrylic. Use the Router to smooth the Edge the blade gives you and then you can Scrape it smooth and Flame polish it.
I have never used a Plastic Blade on acrylic, on the Job we just use a plywood blade put on Backwards.
When I cut down one of my acrylic tanks I used a table saw. I used a regular saw blade, I just turned it backwards. Turning it backwards make a smoother cut. Just go slow.
