Do you guys rinse the worm off and just cut the worms up into pieces for small rays and throw them in or do you have to do that then rinse and clean out the inside stuff in them? I tried searching before asking this sounds noob...I asoom just rinse and cut throw em in as I seen you can through the whole worm in but just checking if it can be done with rays then it can be done with other fish that will take em...

i dont rinse.. they just get slimy... i pull them out of the dirt, brush em off abit, and cut them up. i use a small pair of scissors from a manicure kit... they work great.

I think I would rinse of dirt so not to get injested but was more concerned about the waste inside of them if that got injested? Maybe I should have asked "what is the proper way to serve a worm whole and if cutting is needed" ....

Yeah I use to wash them off and they were too slimy will it be safe if I just throw in the whole worm?
And do you know if I could feed super worms and earth worms to my butis butis and my Crenicichla lenticulata pike?

I just dip the whole worm into a bucket of water and give them a quick shake to get the dirt off. My rays are large and just eat them whole. My larger female doesn't go crazy for chopped up worms but my smaller male eats them though.

Thanks for the responses I rinsed cut and rinsed out the insides but was thinking I was taking away the nutrients or something plus it wasnt fun... JLake How do you "squeeze out the dirt" like find the butt end and squeeze out the poop?.So far rinse and chop good to go or rinse and throw em in whole.....anybody else got anymore personal techniques or tricks to add?

hahah yeah ive never kept more than 3 rays so it was easy. I rinsed them at sink and squeezed out the dirt. than cut them in thirds. I did this most of the time.
