  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yea I want one and think if my dovii doesn't work I'm getting one I've been putting it off for years and always want one. There's a shop south of ocean and seas that sell em for like 100 buck but I hear very good things about loggerhead acres and I hear they even buy em back if they get too big so if you really want one let me know it's cheaper to buy two lol we could go in 50/50

Yeah, I think the place by Oceans and Seas is called Great Lakes Reptiles? I've stopped by there a few times to check things out (I actually picked up my Common Snapper there, someone had brought him in because they didn't want him anymore). I've called a few times to ask if they have Alligator Snappers but they say the won't have them till Spring. I'm always kind of nervous about ordering live animals online, idk why but it's just never been my thing. I'll let you know if I change my mind tho lol

Dont get a caimen, even a swarf, you wont be prepared to care for it properly after a year or two and zoo's wont even take them anymore.
Sorry - no matter how sure you think you are, you wont be able to care for it proplerly.

I hear that, small as they are, they are devilishly nasty. There's a guy who posted a year long thread here about his caiman build. It's thorough, and details all the work required to house one of these little monsters. There are only a few clips of Little Claudia being aggressive and hateful, but they'll put the fear and respect into ya. Even their neck plates can cut you up when you hold them.

Dont let the phrase "dwarf" fool you - they still get to 4 feet and over. You would need a huge enclosure the size of a room to house it properly. The upkeep, stink, and money to feed it are another topic entirely.
