Cycle Biological Water Conditioner is it a bunch of bs or is it good to use when starting a new tank to aid the cycle process. people have told me it works good and others say its garbage. what are everyones opions on this stuff. would it be worth getting it for my 210 once i start it up to help cycle the water???

its good to have if you mess up the cycle. but the expensive one is the only one that will work.

bio-spira seems to work but imo the best would be to get some old media from a friend or lfs or your old tanks and put in a few fish to start the cycle.......be patient and it will all turn out well

I use it and I also used my old water and bio balls to boost up my 240 it has always served me well

BioSpira doesn't always work either - tried and true method is to get true cultures of the bacteria from an already established filter. As to whether or not Cycle does what it claims, I've never tried it - but I've heard mixed experiences.

Never tried it. I just use media from other tanks. If I were to not have a tank at the time, I'd just do a regular fishless cycle. I did once try bio-spira and it worked great.

A lot of these things are dependant on what you use to purify your waters too, for example BioSpira is useless if you use AmQuel to remove your chlorine. There's a lot of info out there on all of these through Google.com, I remember reading an extensive one with one other product listed that was extremely expensive by comparison to BioSpira or Cycle - and it stated that the only product that worked 100% of the time was the stuff that ran somthing like $70 to cycle a 60 gallon tank.
