which, from what i can gather, does the same thing(s) as Cycle

I think every one of these is garbage. That's why I keep extra media cycled around the house. New tank, no problem.

to be honest i have never had a huge bio load so my cycles have always been easy and consistant ive used it once and that time the fish stressed never recovered and ever since i havent bothered and havent noticed any harm in not doing so
