Its for my favorite goldfish. He's epileptic and has all sorts of other issues, he can't eat goldfish pellets so I have to separate him from the rest. To be honest I don't want to risk just plopping him in there, because he's my little man and I don't want anything happening to him.

Yeah I certainly don't recommend it, it was just me thinking what I'd probably end up doing lol. Hopefully your new test kit works well!
Thanks. I'm hoping so, and this time I'll cap and uncap the bottles one by one so I don't contaminate this one as well. Lol
First tank I cycled, I never got any nitrite readings at all. I cycled with 10 comets. I put good fish in it when I started reading nitrates. Never saw any nitrite readings at all.
So the stupid pet store was sold out of ammonia kits. They didn't even have any of those silly strip ones.. Currently very frustrated..
