I have a 60 gallon tank. Been up since December 15th. I have it stocked and I had my water tested at my LFS. I was told it was fine. Now my Blue Dolphin cichlid is sick with what looks like fungus on his mouth. I bought the api test kit. My amonia was a little high and my nitrites were too. I have done 25 percent water change. Added salt, melafix, and Pimafix. I am a newbie. I now think my tank is not fully cylced. Oh i also added prime with the wc. And Nite out 2. What else do I do? I know I screwed up. But I really don't want to lose my fish. I also have a Frontossa and a electric blue jack dempsey. All are under 3inches. Help please.

Yes, unfortunately you are correct in that the tank is not fully cycled, although it sounds as if it's close. Just keep doing 25% water changes every 2 days and treating with prime and you should be ok. I would also keep the tank at about 82 degrees and keep adding salt.

I will do another 25 in the am. What about the Melafix and Pimafix? Should I continue? I now think my fish is sick due to water conditions. I have no quarantine tank. I rushed it I know. I really don't want to lose my frontossa or the jd. Should I keep dosing with the nite out?

Is it a horrible idea to have frontossa with electric blue jack dempsey? And dolphin cichlid? They dont seem to bother each other. I also have a small peacock and 2 cuckoo catfish.

I will test my water tomorrow before wc. What should my readings be?
I have API MASTER KIT.
