Cycle?

Get yourself either Prime or Stability, follow the directions and continue to do water changes.

Until things are in the range strollo22 suggested, I would do the 25% water change every other day. Then, once the water is in that range, do a 25% water change per week, likely more as your fish get bigger, though wouldn't do more than 50%. If you have to do more than a 50% water change per week in order to keep a good water range, then that would be a sign to get a bigger tank.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. I wasn't aware of what I was getting into. I absolutely love fish and I am willing to do the work. I just really don't want to lose the front or the EBJD. I will test in the am and do water change today. Thanks again

Also how much more salt should I add. I have the tank dosed according to the label now. I have read that it's okay to do more, but how much?

Is it a horrible idea to have frontossa with electric blue jack dempsey? And dolphin cichlid? They dont seem to bother each other. I also have a small peacock and 2 cuckoo catfish.

Although, maybe not ideal, I've heard of much worse. Mixed communities are frowned upon by purists but that doesn't mean it wont work. Strollo22 has given good advice, but don't stress over a mixed community....... get your tank cycled first, then figure out if the mix will work. Damage control at this point.......

and I agree, "Stability" works very well with new tanks.....
