Cycling a 265g tank

When I was cycling a new tank I put a sock full of gravel from the old tank in the new tank to help add some BB to the new tank it worked pretty well

That's a big tank. It's gonna take a while...there's no set time. Just a waiting game.

Just take your filter from the 125

+1 the filters are what gets "cycled" if you just transfer filters, you are good to go.

I added my fish right away. Because I also had added my filter on. I agree with these guys the filter is the most reliable instant cycle you're gonna find out there

Thanks to all that helped with their great suggestions! I'll be adding all my filters(2x AC110 and FX5). Will also purchase 1 more FX5.

If that's the case, you dont need to wait unless you are adding a lot more fish.

THe tank would be "pre cycled"
