I do not be leave there is any store bought kits that have the bacteria culture needed, The bacteria for your bio filter needs oxygen to live capped in a bottle this is not possible to me, second it does not live in the water but grows on your systems surfaces. IMHO they are a waste of money. better to get some seeded medium or take 5 to 6 weeks time to cycle up the tank. throw some gold fish in if you want some thing in the tank while its cycling so you have something to look at.
