Cycling fish tank??? fast!

If your present filter is taking care of the tank, it will take longer to cycle another filter (dividing the food in half). maybe a month.
HOB filter?
Place part of the old filter media on top (inlet side of filter) or install HOB and fill with tank water and rinse old filter media in it, install new media and let rest for 15 minutes or so, then start & run.
