A month huh? Based on what ammonia source, starter fish or pure ammonia? If going fishless what concentration of ammonia added at what intervals? Based on what temp? Based on what filtration? Yet again: you can't blindly throw out a specific amount of time...

This.

Cycling isn't something you put a date on, you watch the nitrogen cycle happen. You need to feed the bacteria you are trying to grow. This is done by adding NH3 or buy using a small number of starter fish. As the bacteria colony grows, you need to add a larger source of NH3.

I always do fishless cycles and before I put fish in I do one final large dose of ammonia of around 20-30 ppm and make sure the filters can handle the large ammonia then I do 80% water change and the tank is ready.

I added Tetra start safe when the fish went in which keeps a lid on any spikes and has a live colony in there too, I was really impressed and did not see any elevated readings when the fish went in. (turn off any UV for 3 weeks though)

Cycling depends on many factors which means that there is no definite time for a tank to be fully cycled. You just need to monitor your water parameters for you to be sure.=)
