Cycling new tank

So I've been cycling this new 40 gallon breeder for almost a week, using about 30 goldfish and poured a bottle of fritz zyme in there...how long after all my parameters are 0 can I transfer my Festaes into it??

Ok ill get rid of the goldfish but what do I put n there to finish the cycle...fishbrain what does popcorn mean?

Do you have another aquarium running. Best way to start a new tank is to use the filter or filter media from a tank already established. If done correctly their is little to no cycle.

I think the popcorn means he's gonna sit back and enjoy the show. A 40 is a little small for festaes (plural) really even for a single. But if theyre babies maybe you have time to upgrade. Just my opinion.

Yes I have a tank running and have a emperor 280 on that tank and put those filters in it...my festaes are about 3.5 inchs I have6 of them, once I get a pair I'm getting rid of the other 4. The pair will be alone in the breeder

gold fish are not the best choice for tank cycling if u have another established tank use some media from that tank along with so water from that tank also.
