I have a question! Does strong water current affect the ability to find food or the appetize in gar?
the part of Trynity river that I usually go fishing havea lot of gar, I saw longnose, spotted and short nose go up to the surface to get air a lot but they never bite my baits or lures.

The time of day when fishing for them and the type of Bait or lure may have much to do with that.

what time of day is best when fishing for them? and i use a piece of white rope with some shiny chromes plates to attract the fish!
