Great looking tank and fish :) But I would seriously take the can out I really doubt its 100% safe for a fish tank, given the metal and paint/print/laminating of the can as well......

my Oscar, was starting to get hole in the head, but that was caused by the useless undergravel filter, yes I cleaned it,but was it even worth having it?No its not worth it,if we have better technology for our fish tanks,to run 20x better than what it was 20+ years ago. After getting rid of it,treating it a fish protector for the skin, ect.it healed up just fine, since I caught it so early. Also a good food brand,to check out is the hikari bloodworms,it has multi vitamins in it,so that will also help out, with your new O's.

No Metal object should be in a fish tank unless deemed safe. Especially cans. Just slap a monster sticker on the outside of the tank

I'm curious about the rock you have as substrate, what exactly is it?? I imagine that it's not fun to vac..

I'd throw out the brick along with the can..

And I noticed that there seems to be some black floaties at the top of the tank, do you know what this is.. ?

Not trying to be negative or anything, just curious..

the rocks are granite rocks, but blasted to a smaller size, the black stuff came from the water, since its from my 3 ponds they were just seeds and all which i have removed now.

thanks for the info on the can, will remove it today.
