yeah go buy some sweet corn and have a nice medium action rod ready with atleast 10 pound test flouro, but dont forget a landing mat for the fish so he doesnt get dirty, a tarp will do
yes corn works well, i used to river fish for big carp with corn, i would toss a hook full of corn out by this one waterfall with nothing but a small splitshot, just for weight to be able to cast, then let it twist around in the current and after no more than 10min reel in the slack and zzzzzing they would run, it was a blast on 10lb line, got spooled once!
river carp in strong current are great fighters, very strong fish.
