Here's thought:

Check to see that the water parameters are ok, if not, fix them. Do more regular water changes. Turn down the lights in the room/tank. Offer different foods. Good luck

mine eats most anything, he does get beefheart with garlic and pellets and an occational feeder but is big and lazy, if he cant get the feeder easy he gives up.

Mine eats like a pig. But sometimes a little competition from others in the tank makes it easier. He would get really mad watching the others eat and not get any for himself. I would not recommend another tank mate without a bigger tank though. They love to be the bully!!!

I had one like that to, but he was bye him self (14 incher) when he was with other fish he ate like a pig tho so I guess my question is... Is he bye him/her self??? If so that maybe why!!!

Well the only best way is to starve it... Jus like us human if u eat good food all the time u will tend to pick the better food n reject those that u dun like tat much.. By starving them it will make them worry bout availability of food (like in nature) and they will be less picky... Feed it less ofter for bout a weeks after starvin n change his eatin habit.. Feed mine xl canadian nitecrawlers,market shrimp,dried shrimp,hikari pellets,giant mealworms,xl flakes. they eat almost anything every feeding i feed differrent and rotate.
