I've got everything but the tools to cut the backstrip(scissors wont work) but my dad is bringing everything I need to finish the lids tomorrow and to think yesterday I almost got another ropefish since I had ever piece of the new lids sitting at home(mom dropped of the glass yesterday morning) but luckily I waited

Hey if you ever need a quick lid fix to prevent jumping bichirs. Flourescent light diffusers from your local hardware store "egg crate" comes in sheets and easy to cut

Always keep a sheet of egg crate on hand... you can do pretty much anything with it. Need a quick divider? Egg crate. Need an easy lid? Egg crate. Need a slotted panel that you can drop roots through in order to suck up nitrates? Egg crate. It's like duct tape for aquarium enthusiasts
I like that-- duct tape for aquarium enthusiasts. I even use it on my big tank with glass tops. I trim prices for around filter tubings--- nothing gets in or out without my say so
Bonus points if you use duct tape on your egg crate 
Also if you've got smaller critters that can slip through egg crate, wrap it in screen door screening and tighten it on with zip ties. Totally ghetto, but works great

Totally ghetto, but works greathere is feeding time in the tank none of them liked that I was up at the glass with my phone so most went and hid. Once I left them for a minute they all came out but when I got close to the tank they hid again
nice elephant noses in there too. I have heard they can be really aggressive with one another. Any issues with them? Seems like your eat well too.
