It not fat, but rather a specific breed. Like a Bubble eye and so on. Some of those Ryukins posted go for BIG bucks.
this thread personifies everything I find wrong with making designer fish and by affiliations cross breeding. 
Its like making animals handicapped on purpose and its quite upsetting to me. line breeding some color patterns is one thing, why people are all about the balloon bellied anything is beyond me. These poor animals make me want to throw up and cry at the same time.

That black ranchu is nice. That one is not as bad as the really swelled up ones.
