Yeah, it's always disappointing hearing about casualties. I just hope everybody learns from thier mistakes and takes advantage of the oppurtunites to learn from other people's experience keeping the same type of fish. IT'S FREE KNOWLEDGE. What more could you want?

exactly! i wish i had someone who had alot of success with caribe help me when i fisrt started out, i would have 5 six inch caribe right now instead of my 2 very special six inchers.im very glad that you saw the money in the info i gave.respect

oh its silly is it?
well iv got a 6x2x2ft tank, loads of amazon swords n java fern, lots of big pieces of bogwood makin big caves seperating tank into 5 sections, big powerhead for a fast current, do 2 x 25% water changes per week, dropped temp to 76 n feed em twice a day n they're all around 3 inches except piraya about 3.5", 5 x super reds, 2 caribe (was 5), 2 piraya, 3 x 4" silver dollars. so why have the reds been killin my caribes then?
i got a lot of pygos in to keep aggro down was gonna thin numbers down as they get older n more settled around 5". so tell me then what more could i have done?
iv never had anything as aggresive as these rio nanay reds.

you cant say that because your reds are from the rio nanay they are more aggressive, thats like saying the water in the rio nanay has fish steroids floating in the water and thats why their meaner. and you are 100% positive your reds killed your caribe? i know you said your going to make the group smaller. i dont think its fair to keep the king of piranha pygocentrus piraya in a 150 gallon tank. if you wanna keep piraya u need at least a 300. unless you wanna keep one piraya in your 150 as a solo. soo yyeah i still think its silly......... pygocentrus natteri i dont care what collection point are not as aggressive as caribe.

ya tank is crowded buddy imo and you have amillion obstacles in a 6ft tank, there not cichlids, they need some type of room, also you probably put them in at different times, these are steps for disaster. also they most likely didnt all shoal together they probably had little packs within the pack. i have 10 3'' caribe that i brought together, no powerhead there too small , i wouldnt do that until at least 6'' a piece, there most likely terrified.:D why the silver dollar's. WHY DO A 25% WATER CHANGE 2 A WEEK thats horrible for your bio dude, you have heavy filtration right? your messing with the BB in ya tank dog:confused:

its sad when your trying to help a guy with 2 of the largest growing piranha. in a 150 gallon tank. where just trying to steer you in the right direction man. ever wonder why you lost 3 five inch caribe? but its very obvious you know EVERYTHING .:screwy:

so could you tell us all about those rio nanay reds??? i heard reds coming out of the rio nanay are so dangerous you cant shoal them. they must be kept solo like serrasalmus. rio nanay reds will tear up any caribe piraya rhombeus it doesnt matter. the rio nanay will posses your fish.:WHOA:
