Dandelion

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Always happy to share and oh would be awesome. What I'm liking about the dandelion so far is the level of heat tolerance it has. it's pretty tough stuff to kill.

I believe monsoon season in India and Sri Lanka has a lot to do with the terrestrial part of Etropline diet .
But the same goes for the rainy season here in Central America, from the Cincilithys (tagged in the older thread on page #1 of this thread) to the way Herotilapia multispinnossa fan out to floodplains in Costa Rica, to breed and take advantage of terrestrial vegetation, and seeds.

I just potted 3 yarrow plants and got them in the pond? I’m pretty excited and hope they do well.
Once our nighttime temps stay over 50f I’ll move my dwarf banana trees out. I have two that I put in my bog last year and they got crazy long roots compared to my other banana trees.

bog planted. You can see the roots jumped out of the pot. I’ll give it a bigger pot with holes for water flow this year.

My tank has been running for almost 4 months and I had a small peace lilly in the tank. The leaves turn brown but there is new leaf growth, albeit smaller leaves and not as dark green.

This gives me some good ideas. But I probably need to figure out what my sump plant issue.

For these when i plant in a tank I use a inch long section of lift tube with holes drilled in it. I run fishing line through the holes and then take a small amount of floss and wrap the very top of the roots before putting it together. I drill holes in the tank trim to tie stuff off to so I use these to attach my planters. I like the floss because it keeps good airflow and helps prevent decay in the roots. But I usually keep the top at or above trim height so maybe 3/4" above the water line

These are the next plants I'm going to try. Another yard weed that was always animal safe when I had bunnies. 20200502_130146.jpg
Lighting can also be huge I've got pretty intense light. Wife hates when I dig in the tank it's so bright... lol20200502_124341.jpg

Those should grow good. I had some growing in my pond last year that hitched in on some moss I planted on a rock.

Have you tried tomatoes? Works in a small tank I have in my greenhouse, presumably a lot better in a tank with more nutrients in the water.
